LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon VIP Card Has Arrived

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon VIP Card Has Arrived

The limited-edition LEGO Star Wars VIP card available to those who purchased the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192) during the year of 2017 are starting to arrive in the United States. I received my card yesterday after purchasing the Millennium Falcon back in September of 2017.

The back of the envelope continues the repeating VIP pattern and glossy black coding

Along with the perk of receiving a collectible Star Wars VIP card, LEGO promises cardholders the eligibility for "special LEGO Star Wars themed VIP Rewards throughout the coming year!" The marketing card included with the Star Wars VIP card also mentions that LEGO hopes that "you enjoy piloting this special new program with us." This suggests that the concept of customers receiving special perks as a result of purchasing a specific set is a strategy LEGO wishes to potentially implement with future releases.

The card itself is seemingly made of the same material as the standard VIP card which LEGO distributes to all VIP members. The front of the card displays a graphic of a Millennium Falcon in flight over top of the LEGO VIP logo. Each Star Wars VIP card also includes the full name of the cardholder printed toward the bottom of the card. Also, those who receive the Star Wars VIP card will find that the new card matches the same account number as their current VIP account. There's no need to worry about a second VIP account being created if LEGO includes you in this "elite group of VIP Members" and receive this card.

The back of the card displays the LEGO Star Wars logo toward the top, the usual VIP info in the middle section of the card, a box for the cardholder to write their name, and the unique VIP member bar code toward the bottom.

Finally, the back of the marketing card included with the VIP card is a wonderful graphic displaying a large picture of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon toward the top and a complete visual history of all of the previous Millennium Falcon builds LEGO has released over the years. I could envision some recipients of this VIP card displaying this visual history on a small stand next to their beloved UCS Millennium Falcon.

I think the idea of presenting customers the ability to become part of an "elite group" which includes special rewards as a result of purchasing a specific LEGO set is a fun concept, and it's certainly a brilliant marketing initiative. It's unsure exactly how many of these limited-edition cards have been distributed thus far by LEGO, but the promotion officially came to a close on December 31, 2017. Those who purchase the UCS Millennium Falcon moving forward will no longer be eligible to receive the LEGO Star Wars VIP card - unless LEGO decides to extend the promotion.
